About Me

Now for a proper introduction. I’m a 22 year old kid who loves connecting with people. My upbringing was anything but ordinary, having lived in three different continents and attended over a dozen schools. It’s safe to say there wasn’t much familiarity growing up but that came as a blessing. Being exposed to diverse cultures and people from an early age, gave me a unique outlook on life. I’ve had the opportunity to see and learn things that I never would have if I had grown up in the one place and I’m excited to share these experiences with you guys!

I have always loved sports since I was a child which has also played a role in making me the person I am today. Whilst I was always keen to be on the football pitch or pick up a cricket bat, Golfing was my passion. Since the age of 7, being at the golf course has been a staple of my life. There have been highs and lows, from winning national championships to wanting to quit the sport entirely. I am currently navigating the task of being a student-athlete which has presented itself with a world of challenges. I’ll be documenting all of the obstacles I face in a bid to keep up my sporting endeavors whilst balancing a full-time university degree.

I guess the final thing you should know about me, as it is a major part of my life, and this blog, is that I’m currently in my fourth year of Medical school. Now don’t be alarmed, I don’t plan to be a typical med school blogger, acting like I know it all and have never done wrong. My posts all come from personal experiences, highlighting mistakes I’ve made and learnt from, to try to stop other students making them too. From battling burn-out to wrestling with mental breakdowns or just wanting to sleep in, I’ve faced my fair share of challenges so far. As a fourth year student, life is only getting harder, but whatever it throws at me, we’ll get through it together!
